Summertime is for waiving the flag. The calendar is filled with events giving us the opportunity to show our patriotism which includes displaying Old Glory. Take the quiz to learn more about the flag. You will probably learn some flag etiquette.

Second question. When you have two or more flags on a single pole, which flag should be displayed on top? The US flag should always be above state flags or pennants. When in a grouping of flags, Old Glory should be front and center. When the US flag and state flags are together, the US flag to the right of the state and higher in elevation.

How are you doing so far? Look around and see how many errors you can find. Even at government buildings. Stop by give them some patriotic advice on how to proudly fly our flag.

Third question. I see this most often in neighborhoods. Does the flag have to be illuminated after sunset? Absolutely yes. If you do not have a light on our flag, it is being improperly displayed. It should also be taken down with inclement weather unless it is a weather resistant flag.

Fourth question. What is the only way to dispose of a flag that is in disrepair? It is to be burned in a dignified manner. Most American Legion Posts conduct dignified flag burning ceremonies, often on Flag Day, June 14th. Many Cub Scout Packs, Boy Scout Troops, and Girl Scout Troops retire flags regularly as well.

Word Power Made Easy with the Keyfobber!

Keyfobbers help people remember VocabularyCartoons.com.

Vocabulary Cartoons was looking for unique items that new and existing customers would appreciate receiving at trade shows. Keyfobbers were a real hit with educators who have grown tired of common products. Wow, something we can really use everyday!

Vocabulary Cartoons is the flagship publication that has helped New Monic Books grow into a thriving publishing business that includes an internet commerce site of their own and multiple book/cd listings on Amazon, Booksamillion and Borders book stores nationwide. Vocabulary Cartoons works on the principle of mnemonics. A mnemonic is a device that helps you remember something by associating what you are trying to remember with something you already know. For example, "Columbus sailed the ocean blue in fourteen hundred ninety-two" is a classic mnemonic rhyme which helps you remember when Columbus discovered America.

Vocabulary Cartoons link together an auditory (rhyming) word association and a visual association in the form of a humorous cartoon. These powerful mnemonics help students retain the meanings of words longer and with less effort than trying to memorize definitions straight out of a dictionary.

Being in the businees improving memory and recall, Vocabulary Cartoons goes to great lengths to find unique and rewarding promotional items to build their own company brand and product recall and recognition.

"I liked Keyfobbers because they were both a promotional product but also a neat consumer product that solved a common problem". Bryan Burchers, company co-founder selected Keyfobbers from thousands of widgets to choose from in the promotional products industry. "I like the fact that I had never seen these before and I new that my customers would actually use this product and see our logo over and over again too!"

Keyfobbers featured the Vocabulary Cartoons logo in full color featuring a beautiful dome label. They also included their website address http://www.vocabularycartoons.com to help bounceback efforts to get more information about purchasing their many products.

Another feature that Keyfobbers provided was having Vocabulary Cartoons associated with a product that makes customer lives better by saving them money. With all the discounts and reward card programs out there, Keyfobber is like a wallet to organize and protect from damage up to 10 reward key cards. "If we can advertise our company logo on a product that saves our customers money and doubly makes them feel good about the company that gave that product to them, that's a winner!"

With each use of the Vocabulary Cartoons Keyfobber, their customer is associating their brand with something everyone enjoys doing... saving money and getting more rewards.

Now that's a Mnemonic solution to an old problem!

Giving birth to a new idea and raising it to production

Have you ever needed a solution to a need or problem and while you were trying to figure out how you are going to get the job done, a light bulb goes on inside your head and you say "I wonder if this has ever been invented" to solve your problem.

Most of us usually stop our dreaming right there, and move on to complete another task. But what if for some reason, this idea remains present in your conscious mind and you decide to make this idea the one to come to life! If this has happened to you at least once, I invite all you Thomas Edison 'wannabees" out there to read on, take a chance, and be inspired by one neat story of what could be.

Some quotes from Thomas Alva Edison:

A good idea is never lost. Even though its originator or possessor may die without publicizing it, it will someday be reborn in the mind of another....

"Genius is one per cent inspiration and ninety-nine per cent perspiration. Accordingly, a 'genius' is often merely a talented person who has done all of his or her homework.

" Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.

A small company has emerged from just this process. It's name is Keyfobber Consumer Products. What is a keyfobber, that's the new name that also emerged for the new idea and product that was invented to conveniently organize and protect the many key cards and tags that are lost, damaged, and misplaced in our lives?

Plastic loyalty key cards were designed to make saving easier, but too often their loss or damage cause unnecessary stress in our busy lives by not having them conveniently at hand for the cashier to apply savings or points to our purchase. The inventor spent many years in sales & marketing working for several major consumer products companies and was always suggesting new ideas to Marketing for products and improvements.

But this idea was very special. It would be adopted personally, and not given away like all of the others. It would be raised from conception to maturity by its originator. In researching this story, the metaphor of raising a child compared to bringing an idea to life would be a good one. There would be the constant wondering. Would this idea/child be liked and accepted by all. The commitment and energy directed toward this idea/child would at times prove to be exhausting. The labor is just like child birth, very intense, the investment of capital, energy, time, devotion of faith and love are limitless. But when the product goes out into the real world, properly prepared and able to communicate its true potential, it fulfills with a sense of accomplish to no end!

Keyfobber LLC is proud to introduce their first new child to the world, the Keyfobber. The Keyfobber uniquely brings protection, privacy and convenience to the task of organizing the many membership, loyalty, club, and savings cards placed on a key ring. Key cards for health clubs, library memberships, hospital and medical records, local school and non-profit associations are increasingly growing in popularity. Each Patent Pending Keyfobber acts as a wallet to hold and organize up to 8 key fob cards. This easy-to-use product makes saving and earning rewards points easy.

Keyfobber hooks on to your key chain with the included E-Z ring or can be stored in a car, at the ready for the next shopping trip, carried in a pocket or purse, so you can get all your "just rewards". View their website for more information and a video demo of their product at http://www.keyfobber.com.
